
Norman M. Friedland, Director
Norman Friedland is a Director with Virtus Global Partners. He is the Co-Founder, and Chairman of the International Advisory Board, of Waterlife International. Mr. Friedland brings over three decades of experience as a business advisor and legal counselor to venture capital firms, investment banks and companies, international institutional investor groups in areas that include information sciences, real estate, telecommunications, financial services software systems, healthcare devices and services, material sciences and internet media.
Mr. Friedland began his legal career at Cravath, Swaine and Moore. He is also the founder of The Catalyst Technology Funding Network, an organization that is commercializing socially-important technologies and services in the fields of healthcare, information technologies and environment/energy. Catalyst is a member of Yale University's School of Management's Partnership on NonProfit Ventures. Mr. Friedland served as General Counsel to The New York State Urban Development Corporation, New York's principal economic development agency and is on the board of the Communication for Social Change Consortium.
Mr. Friedland is a graduate of New York University School of Law, where he was a John Ben Snow Scholar and a Root-Tilden Scholar.
